Martin’s neighbor has several pets. Each pet is either a dog or a bird. Martin counted the number of legs on his neighbor’s pets and got a total of 14.
Possible student responses
- Martin’s neighbor does not have more than 7 pets.
- If Martin’s neighbor has 7 pets, all his pets are birds.
- Martin’s neighbor does not have more than 3 dogs.
- His neighbor must have at least 1 bird.
- I can make a table to show the number of pets Martin’s Neighbor could have:
