Read the Headline Story to the students. Encourage them to think of creative ways to answer the question.
Headline Story
Wanda is thinking of a number. She says that her number is a multiple of 2 and 5, and a factor of 100.
Possible student responses
- Her number must be even because it is a multiple of 2.
- Since it is a multiple of 5 too, it must be an even multiple of 5, so it must end with a 0.
- Her number could be 10, 20, or 50.
- If she told me that her number was greater than 20, I would know that it is 50.
