Possible student responses

• I see a number line with no numbers and some jumps.
• I see 3 jumps of 2.
• The first number could be zero.
• If the first number is zero, then the first jump goes from 0 to 2.
• If the first number is 1, then the first jump goes from 1 to 3.
• The landing points of the jumps could be 2, 4, 6, but they could also be 3, 5, 7.
• The landing points could not be 1, 2, 3, because you can see that one number is skipped on each jump.
