- If each person had 4 shirts, there were 16 shirts total.
- If each person had 3 pants, there were 12 pants.
- If each person had 2 blankets, there were 8 blankets.
- There must have been a multiple of 4 of each item.
- The total number of shirts, pants, and blankets must also be a multiple of 4.
