I have 10 marbles. Each marble is either green or blue. What can you say about the number of green marbles and blue marbles?
Possible student responses
- I can have 10 green marbles or 10 blue marbles.
- To find all possible combinations, I can order them by the number of blue marbles.
- There are 11 possible combinations, because there can be from 0 to 10 blue marbles.
- I can make a table to show some possible amounts.
