Mr. Yang found some one dollar bills, some hundred dollar bills, and even some thousand-dollar bills! He didn’t find any ten-dollar bills. He called the police to tell them how much money he had found.
Possible student responses
- If Mr. Yang found 3 hundred dollar bills, 5 single dollar bills, and 2 thousand dollar bills, he would have found $2,305.
- If Mr. Yang found more hundred dollar bills than thousand and single dollar bills, he might have found $2,704.
- The least amount of money that Mr. Yang could have found is $2,202 since he found at least 2 of each bill.
