Read the Headline Story to the students. Encourage them to make imaginative statements using information from the story.

Jake and three friends bought a packet of 24 baseball cards. They planned to treat some other friends by sharing all the cards evenly with them.

- If just Jake and his 3 friends shared the cards, each would get 6 cards. The more people they share with, the fewer cards each will get.
- The cards can be shared equally among 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, or 24 people.
- If 12 people share the cards, each will get 2.
- If Jake and his 3 friends each gave away half of their cards, then 8 people would have 3 cards each.
