Introduction

Sometimes it helps children to review what they do know and what they do not know from a Headline Story. In this problem children do know that Carrie took out four coins and that the coins can be pennies, nickels, or dimes. They do not know what coins Carrie actually took. Encourage children to make a list to show all of the possibilities.
