Read the Headline Story to the students. Encourage them to draw a timeline or other type of graphic organizer to sort the times in the problems they create and solve using information from the story.

Possible student responses
- Lori finished lunch 15 minutes after Paige and Paige finished lunch 15 minutes before Lori.
- If Lori finished lunch at noon, then Paige finished lunch at 11:45.
- If Paige finished at 12:45, then Lori finished at 1:00.
- If Lori finishes at 12:43, then Paige finished at 12:28.
