Read the Headline Story to the students Encourage them either to draw a figure that disproves David’s statement, or show why it works.
Headline Story
David said, “If I can rotate a figure 90o around some point without changing it, then I can rotate it 180o around the same point and that won’t change it either!” What do you think about David’s conjecture?

David is right. If rotating it 90o once doesn’t change it, then rotating the result another 90o still won’t change it. Here are some examples:
