Headline Story
Andy’s mystery number has three different digits that are all multiples of 2. His number is less than 1,000.
Possible student responses
- Andy’s number contains three of these digits: 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8.
- His number could not be 444 or 442, because all the digits are not different.
- The smallest number it could be is 204.
- The largest number it could be 864.
- His number could not be 2,486, because that number is greater than 1,000.
