There are 3 snakes at the zoo: Alfie is 7 feet long, Bertha is 3 yards long, and Carlos is 2 yards long.
Possible student responses
- Bertha is the longest snake at the zoo.
- Carlos is the shortest snake at the zoo.
- Bertha is 9 feet long. Carlos is 6 feet long.
- Alfie is 2 and 1/3 yards long.
- Bertha is 2 feet longer than Alfie.
- Bertha is 3 feet longer than Carlos.
- Alfie is 1 foot longer than Carlos.
- If you put all the snakes end to end they would stretch 22 feet, or 7 yards and 1 foot.
