Introduction
This Headline Story allows children to respond at varying levels. You may want to ask questions such as, “Who might have more marbles?” or “How could they share the marbles?”
Headline Story
Ginny has some marbles, and Kurt has some too.
Possible student responses
- We could compare the two sets of marbles to see whether Ginny or Kurt has more marbles and how many more.
- If they want to share their marbles equally, they might put their marbles together and then each take one marble at the same time until there are no more marbles.
- There might be one marble left if there is an odd number of total marbles.
