Introduction

Display the Headline Story pictured in the sidebar to the class. To help children get started, ask, “How many coins might each child have brought?” Have children check to see if each number they suggest fits the story. They must check for three things: all three numbers must be different, one must be double the other, and the total must be less than 20.
