Possible student responses
- Todd can make any multiple of 3¢ postages.
- He can make 3¢, 6¢, 9¢, and so on.
- He can also make any multiple of 5¢ postages, for example, 5¢, 10¢, 15¢, and so on.
- Todd can also combine his 3¢ and 5¢ stamps to make 8¢, 11¢, 13¢, 14¢, 16¢, and so on.
- Todd cannot make some postage amounts, such as 1¢, 2¢, and 4¢.
