Complete the number sentence and make a story to go with it:

Possible student responses
- 7 × 8 = 56
- I have 7 shelves of books. There are 8 books on each shelf, so I have 56 books.
- I want to give 7 stickers each to my 8 friends. How many stickers do I need?
- There are 56 seats with the same number of seats in each of the 7 rows. How many seats are in each row?
