Caroline ran around a one-half mile track. Each lap took her 5 minutes.
Possible student responses
- If Caroline ran around the track 2 times, it took her 10 minutes and she ran 1 mile.
- If she ran around 4 times, she ran 2 miles and it took her 20 minutes.
- If she ran for 30 minutes, she ran around the track 6 times.
- It would take her 25 minutes to run 2
miles.
