Write a multiplication and division fact family for this picture and make a story to go with it:
Possible student responses
- 2 x 10 = 20
- 10 x 2 = 20
- 20 ÷10 = 2
- 20 ÷ 2 = 10
- Gary has 2 bags with 10 oranges in each bag, so he has 20 oranges in all.
- Ten children removed their shoes when they entered the house, so there were 20 shoes by the door.
- Lucy shared 20 marbles evenly between her 10 friends, so each friend got 2 marbles.
