Headline Story
George wrote a number pattern. He started the pattern with two numbers. The sum of these numbers became his third number. He counted the pattern this way, adding the last two numbers to get the next number.
Possible student responses
- George could have made the following patterns: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13…, 4, 6, 10, 16, 26, 42…
- When you start with two even numbers, all the numbers in the pattern are also even.
