Read the Headline Story to the children. Encourage children to respond with stories or drawings. You may want to draw blank dominoes on the board to help children get started. Afterward, you might have children write the number of dots for each domino that they drew. Although children have not yet been formally introduced to 11 and 12, it is appropriate to write and name these in the context of this activity.
