Introduction
Display the image pictured in the sidebar, Attribute Links, to children. Encourage children to describe the attribute links or tell a story about them. You might even encourage children to respond to the Headline Story with a number sentence.
Possible student responses
- There are four shapes.
- There are three small shapes and one large shape.
- Two red shapes and two blue shapes make four shapes.
- These attribute links can be sorted by color, by shape, or by size.
- Each shape is either blue or red.
