Headline Story
Erasers come in packages of 3 for 10¢. They can also be bought individually for 4¢ each.
Possible student responses
- If I buy 3 erasers individually it will cost 12¢, but if I buy a package it will cost 10¢ and I can save 2¢.
- I want to buy 10 erasers, so I will buy 3 packages of 3 erasers and 1 individual eraser for 34¢.
- If I spent 28¢, how many erasers might I have?
