Imara had a lot of blocks. She made one tower with 3 blocks and used all the rest of the blocks to make towers of 10 blocks.
Possible student responses
- Imara could have 43 blocks—4 towers of 10 and one tower of 3.
- She might have 93 blocks —9 towers of 10 and one tower of 3.
- However many blocks she has, the ones digit of the number of blocks is 3.
- She could have more than 100 blocks if she has 10 or more towers of 10 blocks.
